Count Me In Festival
Bluestone Events were appointed by Tewkesbury County Council to manage a healthy living festival as part of the Count Me In programme on Sunday 30th and Monday 31st May 2010.
The festival provided a variety of stalls, demonstrations, classes and challenges over the two days for all ages and abilities.
A full programme of free sessions gave visitors the chance to try out Dance, Cycling and Tai Chi moves and they could also sign up to regular classes available right on their doorstep.
A number of local clubs in the area took stands in the marquee to promote their activities creating a community festival which allowed the visitors to engage with the activities and event as well as creating an environment where visitors felt comfortable trying new activities.
The event was a great success with thousands of Tewkesbury residents taking part in a whole host of fun activities. Residents both old and young turned out for the two days of free activities and events designed to show families how to live healthier and more active lives. There was a fantastic atmosphere at the festival and we have received a considerable amount of positive feedback from visitors, activity providers and exhibitors many of which expressed their intention of returning next year.
