With the Kendal Festival of Food just weeks away it's time to plan your month of tasty treats!
The Kendal Festival of Food is set to be a month long celebration of everything foodie in Kendal and the South Lakes. With special offers, discounts and events running throughout October.
The Festival really hots up from Friday 28th October at the Field to Fork Day in Kendal town centre where you will be able to watch some of the regions finest chefs in action in the demonstration kitchen, learn from a wide variety of experts including the farmers of the Westmorland County Agricultural Society you'll even be able to chat to some 'grow your own' experts and pick up a bargain or two.
On Friday night the Beer and Curry Party, at the Hawkshead Brewery, will be a great start to the weekend with tasty curry, courtesy of Wilfs Cafe, Hawkshead Beer tasting and English Lakes Ice Cream as well as live music with the foot stomping Stooshie. Tickets cost just £14 and are on sale now!
To end the Festival on a high pop down to K Village to enjoy the Cumbrian Sausage Celebration with live pigs, sausage making and smoking demonstrations and cookery demonstrations from Peter Sidwell off Lakes on a Plate. With live music, entertainment, children's activities and loads of trade stands it's a great way to end the Festival and your half term week.
